Eating Out, Eating Well is provided by Public Health Scotland. We fully respect your right to privacy when using our services. Here are the details about the information we collect about you and how we will look after it.
What information do we collect about you?
The information we collect about you and your organisation when you sign up to the EOEW pilot is:
- Name
- Name of business
- Business address
- Business phone number
- Business email address
- Business website
- Opening hours
- Business type
We use this information to operate the Eating Out, Eating Well pilot.
How will we use the information we collect?
We process the information you provide to operate the Eating Out, Eating Well pilot. This may include:
- managing your registration
- requests and enquiries you have submitted to us
- contacting and communicating with you throughout the duration of the pilot
How do we look after your information?
If we accept you onto the pilot, we will store your personal information for the 12 months expected duration of the pilot and pilot evaluation.
If you are not accepted onto the pilot at this stage, we will store your information for 6 months and then delete it. This allows us to potentially recruit you to the pilot at a later stage if you are still interested.
Website performance monitoring
Using our website will generate log files of your activity. These files do not capture personal information but do capture the user's IP address. We store these log files on a secure server.
We do not try to identify individual users of this website, unless we suspect that unauthorised access to our systems is being attempted.
How to contact us
Should you wish to leave the Eating Out, Eating Well pilot you can email us at phs.eatingouteatingwell@phs.scot. We will then delete your personal details.
